What is cream marfil, travertine and granite stone?
Cream marfil stone is the same material as marble. Marble is simply changed limestone, or to use the technical term, metamorphic limestone. Limestone is made up of sea shells and bones of sea creatures from millions of years ago. The calcium in the bones & shells combined with carbon dioxide in the water to form calcium carbonate, which is the basic mineral structure of all limestone and marble. Cream marfil is formed medium dense with pores.
Travertine also began as limestone, which over time, through geological shifting, has found its way deep in the earth. The porous nature of limestone makes it a small body of standing water called Aquifers. This is the water of ice age melting, which sank below and was absorbed by limestone. With the earth's inner core the water rises as steam and hot pressurized water that forms hot mud baths. This rising hot water dissolves the limestone and brings with it a small particle from below, forming mud beds on the surface. If enough time is allowed for the mud beds to cool, they will crystallize into solid stone called travertine, which is formed with a low density with pores.
Granite began as the liquid magma in the center of the earth. It is a different type of stone, called igneous. Granite is made up of minerals known as feldspar, quartz, and mica. The primary mineral found in the composition of granite is feldspar. Due to the extreme pressure within the earth and the absence of atmosphere, granite is formed very dense with no pores.

What is the polish on the stone?
The stones are all natural. Polishes on stone are a change in the surface of the stone itself, not anything applied to the surface.

What is the travertine stone filled with?
The lower the density, the more pores the travertine stone have. Our travertine stones are filled with travertine powder.

What kind of wood are the products made of?
Most of the woods used in the products are MDF boards. MDF stands for medium density fiber. It is made by steaming various woods, which turns them into a fine wood fiber that is then resined and made into boards.
